Obama Nation

Some of the students from Ms. Brown and Ms. Hawkins classes may remember from last school year the library instruction on government and election resources available in the library, physical and virtual. Back then, we discussed how ours is such a ubergoverment and that it impacts the entire world.  I think those students walked away from the instruction a bit more enlightened and empowered to research the campaign issues and platforms on their own.  But it was almost this time last year that we wondered if the Obama candidacy would still be alive to see the convention.  What a difference a year makes. We've started the school year with historical precedents on the horizon. WOW!
